Divorce was the start of Black Rabbit Custom Bedrooms- and more.  Being without a bed as a result of splitting household items, Shawna became complacent of sleeping on a mattress on the floor.  

While searching various furniture stores for a stylish, quality and affordable bed frame with headboard and footboard, there was not much to be found.  All was flimsy made with MDF and veneers, or extremely expensive for real wood products.  

 Without being satisfies as to what was quickly available as suitable options for a solid bed frame, yet affordable as well as made to fit her style, mattress and room space, Shawna purchased a Dewalt  skill saw and some lumber in order to build that amazing solid platform bed frame design she found on Pinterest.  It was the best feeling ever to finally have the mattress off of the floor.

After that, Shawna began advertising solid wood custom bed  designs, first on Kijiji,  and then Facebook Marketplace.  Black Rabbit Custom Bedrooms- and more has since then been a thriving and expanding furniture provided to all of Alberta, with sales also made in B.C. and North West Territories.  

In 2020, Shawna partnered with Trent. Trent has the most devoted passion in ensuring each custom order is completed to the highest standard, not to mention, his extreme and equal fondness for the work involved in creating  each custom ordered furniture piece.

 

Black Rabbit Custom Bedrooms- and more is a home based business operating in Edmonton Alberta.   Our focus is to create and provide each customer with one-of-a kind bedroom furniture.

Each piece begins with the hand selection of each board.  The grain and uniqueness of each board can never be copied from one furniture piece to the next.  Each piece is based on measurements provided to best fit the space in your room, and to address all of your storage needs.
